A State Of Trap: Episode 20 (The Variety Pack)

Trap has come a long way since it’s recent rebirth and this week’s variety pack mix is a prime example of that featuring 32 fresh (but varied) tracks in just over 90 minutes. Ranging from Trap styled music influenced by the Mainstream, EDM Festival music, Ambient/Downtempo, Rap, Trance, House, R&B, Juke, and whatever else, this mix features a little of everything. As Trap’s popularity grows it’s inevitably becoming more influenced and combined with all kinds of electronic music, creating endless subgenres and loosening the boundaries of what might be considered actual “Trap”, for better or worse. Well, mostly just shotguns; however, this mix was recorded right after going to the annual San Francisco Barley Wine Festival (which is great), getting good and crunk and then inspired to play some bumpin’ trap beats.
